Recovery for the Acer A500/A501

image sos checksum error fail, help appreciated

Postby aajohn64 » 09 Nov 2015, 04:36

So I got the image sos checksum fail message and coincidentally didn't have my cpuid. I first tried the sd card 'update.zip' method and that didn't work. I then used the linux route to find that and got the sbk. Now I am having trouble getting the apx tools to recognize the tablet. I've downloaded and installed the acer drivers, blackthund3r drivers, mirror drivers and everything I could find; I tried all of this one two different windows 10 computers. Anyone know if its possibly a windows 10 problem?

Also, if anyone has any help to revive the tablet I would be greatly appreciative.

You may try with "working" windows version in the virtual machine with USB passthrough or "manually" use nvflash tool in linux.
