Performance settings change OMNIROM 4.4.4

Postby SarcasticNik » 06 Jan 2017, 16:03

This ROM is amazing and works perfectly, but sadly Performance settings change after I put A500 to sleep,I set CPU core to 1600mhz, after I press power button for it to just to sleep.... It changes back to 216 MHz... It is a bit annoying, I have to set it back every switch.... Funny thing is settings are not changed on boot, they stay to 1600mhz, Maybe some background app is switching it? I have no idea,Any software such as setcpu do not affect the problem, I hope there is a way to fix it. Again thanks for the ROM , it is a amazing and easy to use.

I think you are seeing it throttling down normally It will only increase frequency as load requires
you could run a stress test on it to load it up
BTW 1600 is too high and you will get instability and kernel panics ~ 1400 is max for stability

It is doing same thing on 1400mhz... Stress test did nothing, problem is not solved...

So if I read you right then you are saying that it only runs at 216 Mhz during stress test
What are the governor and I/O scheduler settings ?
I find that interactive governor with noop scheduler is the best combination for smoothness

I use Interactive and sio, anyways is there a fix to keep it on 1600mhz for default? It is annoying every time I lock screen it changes, and becomes laggy, even if I try 1200 mhz, same thing happens... I will change it to interactive and noop, but I want to figure out a way to keep over clock settings unchanged.

Sorry it should work out of the box unless it's a bad install as it's all the same hardware - Did you start out with a proper clean install (full wipes) and not use titanium backup to restore your previous apps - It's all in the forums if you do some reading . It's not the rom or hardware so take it from there and good luck
if you posted a dmsg log it would be more enlightening
This is an older rom there have been at least 3 newer ones since 4.4.4
Any way performance governor should jump it to max with big hit on battery as far as I remember
