I had Stock ICS installed on my tablet. I rooted using Blackthund3r tool (and Youtube video). Ran successfully that way on the Stock ICS for a few weeks.
Once Thor_v168 came out I ran the A500 APX Flash utility to get the RECOVERY tool loaded.
I did not delete the recovery file before hand. I didn't realize that I needed to that so I missed that step.
Everything worked like a charm had new touch recovery and ICS OTA (awesome). I rebooted the device and everything was great
I rebooted again into Recovery mode
I did a full system back-up then I did a factory reset and wiped all of the caches etc in the wipe menu.
I installed v168 went through the installer (successfully), installed GAPS and then rebooted. The device didn't vibrate as it turned off (like it normally does)
When I power the device on the light turns on but no screen, no logo, no recovery. When I plug in via USB I get the APX Picasso device.
What I've tried
I've tried reflashing using the APX tool but it just hangs during the "Flashing Bootloader EBT Stage Two - uploading image..." step.
I've tried using nvFlash manually and I do see the APX or DOWNLOAD screen on the tablet and message like this on the PC:
downloading bootloader -- load address: 0x108000 entry point: 0x108000
sending file: bootloader.bin

bootloader.bin sent successfully

Formatting partition 4 please wait.. Command Execution failed cmd 13, error 0x12

Anybody have a suggestion on what I could try next from here or what I'm doing wrong? I read about other using the Timmy Dean method to go back to Honeycomb but since I can't boot into anything I'm at a loss on how to proceed.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
GalacticGod wrote:Hey man! THANK YOU so much for your help. I had to tweak the FLASH.BAT file in the TimmyDean package but I finally got it to repartition and then the rest was a breeze.
I had brought my tablet into a repair shop but they gave up so this was my last resort!
Not sure how to thank you! You got rid of the donation button in your app.

I am on the HC bootloaders running Thor's v168 and I'm trying to do an upgrade to ICS bootloaders. When I run the APX Flash Util, all seems to go well up to the point of having it put the device in APX mode. I've rerun it a couple of times and I keep getting the message "No APX Mode devices are connected!"
What am I missing? Do I have to be on the OTA build to run this and upgrade the bootloaders to ICS or is there just something that I unknowingly skipped? (I've been going step by step with the YouTube walkthrough so I don't believe that I have but, you never know)
